The accommodation is located in Bairro das Colónias, in the city center, in a building from the 1940s, completely renovated. The house itself underwent a major renovation at the end of 2016 and it was our intention to provide you with all modern amenities, without compromising your identity, its original features and the characteristics of a 1940s house in Portugal. The sculpted ceilings, doors and portals were kept intact, as well as some of the period furniture and objects that once belonged to the house. In the living room is the safe, which gives the house its name and belonged to the family. Today, it can be used by our guests as a minibar.
The House has three bedrooms: the red room with a bunk bed, the blue room with two single beds, which can be put together or separated, and the yellow room with a double bed. It also has a living room with sofa bed and TV, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and toaster, washing machine, dining room, a bathroom and toilet. We have a cot. The house has Wi-Fi available for guests.
We will be at your disposal for whatever is needed during your stay.
We will be present during check-in, where we will make a brief presentation of the house and the neighborhood, and answer any questions you may have.
At any time, before or during your stay, we can give you any information and / or help you need. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
Bairro das Colónias is a typical neighborhood where you can find a wide variety of shops, such as grocery stores, supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, laundry, hairdressers, antique shops, among others. Being located in a very central area of Lisbon, you can easily start discovering the city on foot or by public transport.
2 minutes from home we have the Monte Agudo Viewpoint, a viewpoint with a superb view over Lisbon !! Not to miss !!
Public transportation
The nearest metro station, Anjos, is three minutes away; around the corner you can take bus 12, which takes you to Marquês de Pombal / Av da Liberdade and five minutes away there is a tram stop, where you can take the emblematic tram 28 that goes around the old part of Lisbon.
Bus 708, 7 minutes away, takes you from Martim Moniz to Parque das Nações, next to the Tagus River, a new area of Lisbon with many points of interest such as the Oceanário, Pavilhão do Conhecimento, Teleférico Expo, Casino de Lisboa, Jardins by the Tagus River ...
On foot
The historic Bairro da Graça is ten minutes away, the Castelo de São Jorge and Bairro de Alfama are twenty minutes away and downtown Lisbon is fifteen minutes away.
