It is 2.5 km from the center of Funchal and can be reached by car in 5 minutes, 25 minutes on foot in a pleasant walk, and with a bus stop right in front of the building in 8 minutes you reach the center of Funchal. The airport is 19.2 km away and an 18-minute drive. The viewpoint pico do Barcelos is 2.6 km away where you can have a beautiful view over the bay of Funchal. Guests can prepare their meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The hairstyle market, about 5 minutes walk away, is a place full of aromas and tradition, where you can buy the best quality natural products. Quiet place, with a balcony of 7.5mx1.5 where you can smoke, have a drink, play cards, has a table and two chairs where you can relax a little outdoors and enjoying the surrounding gardens, also has 2 ropes drying rack to dry your clothes!

Geräumiges (Wohn- u. Schlafzimmer, Küche) voll ausgestattes App., sehr sauber, ruhig, Jose, der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich. Bushalt und Bar direkt vorm Haus, Innenstadt ist auch zu Fuß in 15 Min. (abwärts) zu erreichen

Everything is perfect about this apartment. It is located in a quiet place, on the second floor of an apartment building. The apartment has a private parking space inside. There's a huge balcony with doors to the living room and bedroom facing a very pleasant garden. Nice place for having breakfast and lunch there. Bedroom has a king size bed with good mattress and fantastic duvet and there are plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. Living room is cozy and has a big TV and WiFi. Laundry room is good equipped and stocked with different detergents. Kitchen also has all necessary utensils (including microwave oven, toaster, gas stove with electric oven) and has basic cooking oil, salt, sugar, tea and instant coffee in stock. The milk, ham and bread for toasts was ready in the fridge. On the table was a welcoming gift of fruits and even Madeira vine!
The host Señor Jose Nobrega was most welcome and always ready to assist. He speaks good English so it was easy to communicate. We feel as we were visiting our good friend.
We would certainly recommend this place for couples and families. Though it is located rather far from the centre, there's a bus stop just in front. And you can have a very pleasant walks in the neighborhood enjoying Madeira way of living.
