Situated in the Madeira countryside, this 4-star hotel offers well-equipped accommodation with a garden patio or a balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains. It features a 16th century chapel on site.

Hiking trails start 50 meters from the house. At the hotel, guests can enjoy pool and board games in the lounge or swim in the outdoor pool.

The accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave. The accommodation is equipped with a satellite TV and heating for the coldest months. Some apartments and studios are located in a restored mansion.

Foi uma agradável surpresa este alojamento. O quarto muito espaçoso, com bom gosto na decoração e com tudo o que é preciso para este tipo de apart./hotel. Com uma vista muito agradável para o mar e para a serra. Ambiente calmo, sem intromissões do staff, nem incómodos por parte de outros hospedes (todos estrangeiros). O jardins ao redor da piscina proporcionam uma ambiente familiar e natural muito relaxante. De sublinhar a simpatia e cordialidade dos donos da Casa da Capelinha.

Sehr schönes Appartement, toller Blick aufs Meer vom Balkon, Wohnküche und Schlafraum getrennt, sehr gut ausgestattet, kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten, tägliche Reinigung, sehr freundliche Leute, sehr gutes Restaurant, gepflegter Garten und Pool, Einkaufsmöglichkeit ganz in der Nähe

The location is very quiet. The views are fantastic - sea, mountains and the plants/flowers. Lots of grapes growing, some cows, goats, cats and dogs. Very few locals and cars. You see the same people cats, dogs, cars and motorbike every day. There is a Scottish film called "Local Hero" with Burt Lancaster as the star. This film reminds me of this place. The temperature is good, not too hot with the odd spot of rain in the evening. Good walks with views to die for. The hotel food was the best and we had no reason to travel else-where to eat. Within half a mile there are at least 7 bars, 5 shops and a petrol station. Booking.com offered a taxi service from the Funchal airport to the hotel and back for 82 Euros so saw all the sites of Madeira for free.
